Dealing with Bad Beats

A bad beat causes negative emotion as soon as that bad card hits the felt causing you to lose the pot. The first thing you feel is irritation and anger that you have lost the pot you feel you deserved to win. The second may be anger at your opponent daring to celebrate even though they are just plain lucky. You then imagine your chip stack and the chips you have just lost. If you are still in the tournament you must bounce back from the bad beat or your game will be negatively affected from this point forward and you may bust out. In cash games the next hand could be costly if you are on tilt.
