These kinds of articles really should be making people think about the variance in poker and especially with certain forms of poker like limit hold ‘em. In fact this was one of the reasons why I switched to playing NLHE because the variance in full-ring no-limit is far less than at limit or at least the frustration factor is far less.

I love online poker. It is always there come rain or shine and providing your woes are not including a bad internet connection or worse still a power cut, you can get a tournament up and running quickly day or night and play some poker. I was hanging around not doing too much after a lazy Sunday and decided that the exercise bike was too much to bear and I needed something to get me mentally stimulated. When the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet scandals hit the online poker playing community everyone went crazy with accusations and blame over a conspiracy to part the poker players from their money. It seemed every site was corrupt as one scandal hit after another. Some players felt this was proof that the whole online poker word was rigged to keep players in the game generating rake for the site by any means necessary. If you are a fan of reading the chat box when playing you will notice that sometimes a player suffers a bad beat then goes into the chat box saying the site is rigged, that someone could see their cards, everything apart from the fact that lady luck did not smile upon them on this occasion.
